I’m good at it. Seriously, I am. I’ll often tiptoe around something until like it’s very last minute. Mind you, I’ll get it done. It’s just the getting there that sometimes takes forever.
I’ve done this recently. I waited and waited before I finally dug my heels in and did what I needed to do. Deadline was met, but just barely. And now the waiting begins.
I do wonder, though. Why is it so hard for some of us to just dive in to whatever it is we need to do? It’s like even though we know we have to do things, our minds just go, ‘Nope. Not yet.’ Or, ‘Later, okay? I promise we’ll get it done soon.’
I know I’m not the only one who does this. A lot of us do. I think it’s because we allow ourselves to get distracted by other things. By the time we cycle back to whatever we were working on, our minds just aren’t into it anymore. Nevertheless, we dig in until we get it done.
Procrastination sucks, though. I admit it.
